WHO WILL WALK AWAY WITH THE GOAL KEEPER AWARD?

As the nominees for the goal keeper of the season have been announced, it looks like it is going to one of the greatest battle the PSL has ever seen since its inception. it remain unknown who is going to walk away with the best goal keeper award on sunday night. the nominees are Itumeleng Khune from Kaizer Chiefs, Senzo Meyiwa from Orlando Pirates and Ronwen Williams from Supersports United. as for Itumeleng Khune seem to dominate the votes with Senzo Meyiwa trailing him and the last with Williams. The question is, can we expect any flactuations of percentages? can Khune be the second or last? well we are about the find, lets analyse their games from day one to date...

ITUMELENG KHUNE (KAIZER CHIEFS)

The spiderkid, as Khune is effectively known in football circles... khune is one of the consistent players this season, coming out with some great saves, he has saved his team from several wars. Not talking about his distribution of ball, he is marvellous, he constantly helps his team when attacking.

Since Itu was given the captain armbelt, his game improved on match basis, he is also a good motivator and also a great leader who stood up for his troops when in danger. is he the best?


SENZO MEYIWA (ORLANDO PIRATES)

Since Meyiwa took the number one jersey from Moeneeb Josephs who suffered a shoulder injury earlier this season, the boy grabbed his chance with both hands dispite conceding 4 goals from vodacom side Maluti Fc, he accepted what has happened and moved on, Meyiwa is one of the talented goal keepers in the PSL who got the nerve to face bullets.

His performance has earned himself a national team call-up. recently Meyiwa rescued his club in Congo when he saved two unclearly penalties. does he deserve it?




RONWEN WILLIAMS (SUPERSPORT UNITED)

The boy has been outstanding this season, he helped his team to reach MTN 8 final, one of the underrated goal keepers in the league. his distribution of the ball is almost as khune's. got nominated for goal keeper of the season and young player of the season.

He is now the number one goal keeper at Supersports united, benching the experienced Rowen Fernandez, and this has made him the best above Fernandez. is Williams the one?

David Mathebula, Moroka Swallows midfielder, with lot of pace, skill and knows how to put the ball behind the net. He has scored 10 goals for Swallows and created lot of chances for his teammates. He is always consistent receiving man of the match prices back-of-back. Does he deserve it?

The Brazilian Born young star continue to rise after another match winning performance for santos. The highly rated 20 year old Brazil International helped the defending champions Santos into the last 16 of the Copa Libertadores inspiring them to a 2-0 late win Bolivian side. The result enabled Santos to finish top of their group stage and they will play another clash with another Bolivian giants from capitla La Paz.

Who is the best of the above dribbling wizzards, is it Messi, Neymar or Ronaldo? Messi can dribble and attack but he cant defend when he loses the ball, he is good at attacking, timing and good at holding the ball. Looking at the previous match against Chelsea, he was the cause of the goal, he lost the ball and he couldnt go back and defend. While Ronaldo can dribble, attack and good at marking.. aslo he is good at heading, though he have his weaknesses, he is a short tempered player and which is not good for a higly rated player like him. He is good at recovering, he can lose the ball but he can recover fast and attack the opponent. And Neymar, this boy can do all the tricks, he can play with the ball and he is so marvelous to watch but he cant defend. He is the number one young star at the age of 20 who can dribble old players. The club have reportly that they have terminated the coache's contract with immediate effect following a meeting held on thursday between the chairman Kaizer Motaung, football manager Bobby Motaung and the coach along with his agent.
